The Lies Obama Told You – And Keeps Telling You

Obamacare DeficitsA Florida court ruled that Obamacare is unconstitutional.  Good, it is.  Let’s think this through for a minute – even with our paltry non-ivy league brains…  Here’s how Obamacare works:

Tell everybody – you must buy insurance.  Even if you don’t want it, or need it, you must buy it.  If you don’t you pay a penalty.

But if people cannot be compelled to buy a service and subsequently can’t be penalized for not doing so, where does the money come from?  It doesn’t.  Without the personal mandate, Obamacare becomes a financial disaster, to the extent that it is not already.

Forcing people to buy insurance – the individual mandate – is the central provision of the entire bill.  First, young, healthy people will be paying into the insurance pool, but using very few services.  If they don’t, they will pay the penalty.  In addition, Obamacare robs hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars from various other programs, while maintaining the obligations from the programs it robs from.   This is where the money comes from to fund the bill.

So if the money from all those young people who pay, but don’t use, plus the penalties doesn’t come in, I guess Obamacare will have some financial problems, right?

It already does.  Let’s put it all together.   Here are just a couple of the lies Obama told you – that’s right, lies.  If it is a mistake, I’d call it that.  But it is not – it’s a lie.  When someone knows something to be false, and presents it as fact anyway, it is a lie.  Yes, Obama is a liar.  Yes, yes, I know…I’m a racist, blah, blah, blah.  Phooey on you liberals.  He’s a liar, pure and simple.  These are facts about Obamacare:

  • 10 year cost estimate is based on 10 years of taxes, Medicare cuts, and penalties, but only 6 years of service.  Can anyone say “red flag?”
  • Takes $50 Billion in Social Security revenues and applies that money to Obamacare.  Um, what about Social Security?
  • Takes $72 Billion from the CLASS Act premiums (long term care subsidy) and counts them as Obamacare funding.  Um, what about the CLASS Act?
  • Takes $500 Billion from Medicare directly.  But not as part of a fix, it just guts the program.  What do you think happens to Medicare providers and Medicare recipients?  Hmm? Hmmm?
  • Ignores the $370 Billion bill to make Medicare providers whole – they are short changed every year, so the government appropriates money to pay them.  This is not counted at all in Obamacare.

We know Obama knew all these things, because Paul Ryan told him on national TV.  Yet, even after knowing all those things, Obama still went out and lied about the cost of Obamacare.  AFTER knowing these things, Obama said that his health care plan was, “the most significant effort to reduce deficits since the Balanced Budget Act.”  Funny – that exact quote can be attributed to about 10 different democrats between March 15 and March 20 of 2010.  Think it was a talking point?

And here’s the real kicker.  How can any reasonable person – even a not-so-reasonable person – claim that forcing a person to buy something is constitutional?  Really?  Since when?  You don’t need a law degree or a fancy education to understand that the government cannot tell you what to buy.  Yet that’s exactly what Obamacare does.

Fortunately for Americans, Judge Roger Vinson ruled that the government cannot force people to buy something.  Since the entire Obamacare law is based off of doing just that, the judge declared that the entire bill is void.  This will surely go to the Supreme Court.  There is great reason to be optimistic, though the fight is far from over.  Obama is still running around feigning righteous indignation and claiming that the bill is perfectly constitutional and will reduce the deficit.  What a liar.

(Funny how the left’s mantra was “Bush lied” with zero evidence of that.  Here we have clear evidence that Obama lied.  Though the main stream media doesn’t say so, everybody knows it.)

  1. So very true, Harry. The lies the President has told and continues to tell are relatively easy to disprove, but the media continues turning a blind eye. If someone like you and I tries to point out the facts, all sorts of charges are leveled at us, up to and including lying or racism. I shouldn’t be, but I continue to be amazed at the double standard on display by the media.

  2. 100% right on the money. Coming from someone who has experienced socialized healthcare for the first 35 years of his life, I can tell you that a) its definitely worse quality wise and b) a lot more expensive than they say it is. I’d much rather know exactly how much I’m paying in health care costs than having it hidden away in my income and sales taxes.

Constitutionality has never been much of an issue with these people. Since when has government truly followed the “supreme law of the land” as we were taught? Remember this is the same guy who said that the Constitution didn’t support “redistributive change”

You know that ObamaCare has never really been about providing better care. It’s been about redistribution of wealth. In fact, most all of Obama’s policies are about that.

He’s been proven a liar again and again, but when will he ever be called out on it? Let’s hope over the next two years, our guys will have the strength to call out his lies and make them stick.

  3. I share your wishful thinking, Chris! I was listening to Chris Plante on AM 630 WMAL this morning. His question for the audience today was: Did Obama lie when he told Bill O’Reilly he was not for redistribution of wealth.

Obama gave an emphatic “no” to that question – amazing. But I am thinking that maybe this will get some traction, at least in blogs, talk radio and new media outlets…we’ll see.

Oh, I managed to get on the air with Chris Plante this morning – I’ll post the audio later today…I was ranting a little…
